Acuity has released a very compact laser line sensor for space restricted applications. The sensor is lightweight (140 grams) and has a size of 86 x 40 x 25 mm with a measurement span of 80 mm and a laser line length of 38 mm using an Ethernet output. This sensor lends itself for robotic applications where the sensor needs to be moved and is robust against many optical and harsh environments. The sensor comes with a SDK for software support.
