TIRES / RUBBER

LASER SENSORS FOR THE TIRE AND RUBBER INDUSTRY

The single point AR200 and AR700 laser sensors are used to measure the thickness of calendared rubber on-line. Also many tire manufactures are using the same models to measure bulge and dent of the sidewalls. The laser line scanners like the AP820 and the new AQ6 models are used to measure the tread and wear of the tire at high rotational speeds.

Triangulation Lasers Used For Rubber Thickness

Acuity’s AR200 and AR700 laser triangulation sensors are used to measure rubber thickness. Despite the black and shiny surface, our lasers are able to perform accurate measurements.
